This is a hybrid, mid-level role providing the full range of operational management and coordination as part of a strong 7+ person corporate events/conference management team. Exceptionally strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage people, projects, data and office operations with equal agility are a must. Help to manage yearly/recurring hiring processes, training, scheduling and supervising staff and all office operations of a part-time event-based workforce. Interact effectively with all locally-hired conference staff (250pp) and the in-house team, maintain and improve on the already high standards and continually upgrade best practices. Manage vendor requirements and timeline and responsible for departmental inventory. Poised, professional, discreet, hard-working, self-managing, flexible to travel several times a year and be “on location” for 4 consecutive weeks in the summer. This role is very busy and very demanding for 5 months out of the year, and requires long hours during the conference.
Requirements: Strong eye for data and data management. Strong Salesforce and/or related events management/project management software, excel document creation/maintenance for tracking inventory, timelines, etc. Operations experience managing employees, scheduling, setting up offices, managing inventory, establishing best temp work protocols. Very hands on and very behind the scenes.
