Job Description
Job Summary: As a Remote Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for our organization using ADP Workforce Now. Working remotely, you will collaborate with the HR team and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with company policies and regulations, and resolution of payroll-related issues. Your expertise in ADP Workforce Now and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining payroll accuracy and providing exceptional service to employees.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy of hours, wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Review and reconcile payroll data, including timesheets, commissions, bonuses, and benefits, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Calculate and process payroll adjustments, including retroactive pay, leaves of absence, and terminations, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and labor distribution reports, and distribute them to appropriate stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate accounting of payroll expenses and allocations.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance in payroll processing and reporting.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including paycheck deductions, tax withholdings, and direct deposit setup.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation, reconciliation, and distribution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues, including discrepancies, errors, and system issues, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and ensure data security in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
- Experience working in a remote environment (preferred).
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues independently.
