Staff Accountant
Job Description
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting various accounting functions. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of transactions.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments and accruals.

Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor management.
- Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, and account management.
- Resolve discrepancies and address billing issues as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
